Act 16:30 - And brought them out, and said, "Sirs, what must I do to be saved?"

There has been no more error taught in the supposed name of Christianity, than error concerning baptism. This is one subject that the Devil has worked to his own ends more than any other, for it is through baptism that a person is saved and added to the church of Christ. It has been said that "Baptism has become the Devil's workshop" and that saying is well justified! This Web Site exists to refute these manmade errors and teach what the Bible teaches without addition or subtraction - just the plain truth!

The Baptism of Christ

John the Baptist preparing to immerse Jesus, the following account is from Mark 1:1-11

The beginning of the gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God; As it is written in the prophets, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.  The voice of one crying in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make his paths straight. John did baptize in the wilderness, and preach the baptism of repentance for the remission of sins. And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins. And John was clothed with camel's hair, and with a girdle of a skin about his loins; and he did eat locusts and wild honey; And preached, saying, There cometh one mightier than I after me, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost. And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan. And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him: And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Resolving a confusion...

Resolving a confusion, since the advent of Calvinism a new doctrine has come about from the eighteenth century onwards. This false doctrine says that salvation does not require baptism, but that salvation precedes baptism. This error teaches that - "baptism doth not save"...

One scripture often quoted is Rom 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved".

When Paul called on the "name of the Lord", he washed away his sins being baptised Acts 22:16 - "And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord".

Peter said "baptism doth also now save us"

1Pe 3:21 - "The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ".

Who are you going to believe, inspired scripture from where we can learn from Paul, Peter and others, or a new and other old errors?

Reformed (Protestant) theology demands that "baptism doth not save", non-Reformed (Catholic/Anglican) theology demands that infants are born evil (original or inherited sin) and require purification (infant baptism), both are wrong, those responsible for this web site are not Protestants or Catholic (Anglican/Methodist etc.), but are Christians, nothing more, less, or else.

Gal 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
